What is CrossFit?
"Constantly Varied, Functional Movements performed at High Intensity"
"Constantly Varied" - We mix it up all the time and do different workouts every day. However, don’t mistake Variance for “random.” We DON’T just do “random” exercises. We typically program our workouts for Mon/Tues/Wed, with Thursday as a rest day, then Fri/Sat, rest day on Sunday.
We recommend starting out with three days a week…then adding in another day as your body grows accustomed to the intensity.
(You'll still get great benefit from only 3 days/week as a beginner)
"Functional Movements" - CrossFit trains the body’s natural movements with integrated, compound exercises. The human body is meant to squat, lift, pull, and press, and our goal is to maximize your capability and performance level by training you to be stronger and more efficient at these movements.
"High Intensity" - This is typically the scary one for new folks, but here’s the deal: Intensity is completely relative to YOU. You are in complete control of your own intensity. We scale every workout to your current level of fitness to give you the best workout possible.
