Are you too busy to eat healthy?
Anyone who knows me knows that I’m not a big fan of “supplements.” Which is pretty uncharacteristic of someone who makes works in the Fitness Industry. Please understand: there is a hell of a lot of money to be made off of selling supplements. I’m solicited almost daily from different companies trying to get me onboard with their “affiliate program” to sell supplements to the members and clients, and some of the monetary offers have been VERY appealing. But most of their products are bullshit! As soon as I dig any deeper than the flashy advertising, I see that the ingredients lists are loaded with sugar and preservatives, and the ingredients that are ACTUALLY active, don’t offer nearly the results that they claim. Supplement Companies have done a fantastic job of convincing the general public that they MUST have post-workout protein shakes, and recovery aminos, and pre-workout concoctions, and the list goes on and on…but I say this with strong conviction: Unless you’re a professional athlete (meaning you get PAID for athletic performance), there is a 95% chance that you do not need “supplementation” to your diet. What you need is a better diet! You can, and SHOULD, get all the protein, carbohydrates, and fats that you need simply from eating good food. Now here’s where it gets tricky…and why you keep falling for the marketing that tells you to buy their magic drink. Most of us lead a very busy life. Juggling career, family, and finances doesn’t leave much time to research the best choices for fueling your body. Most of us spend so much time taking care of everyone else around us, that we forget to take care of ourselves. We just found a way to make it a whole lot simpler and more efficient. We’ve partnered with a company called FlexPro Meals (founded by Nathan Corn of Scott City) that specializes in preparing delicious and nutritious FRESHLY PREPARED MEALS based on your personal fitness and dietary needs, and delivers them right to your door. AND IT’S VERY AFFORDABLE! This sounds like a service that would cost way more than you would want to pay, but it actually works out to almost the same amount that you spend on groceries anyway, and you won’t have to worry about prepping and packing up your food for the week. My wife and I have actually gotten a lot better at food prepping on Sundays in preparation for the busy work-week, but now with this option, we have that extra time on Sundays to do other things. And we all know that TIME is our most valuable “non-renewable resource.” You can check out their website at www.flexpromeals.com/pages/bootheel-crossfit to learn more about their program, and when you're ready to order, just use the coupon code: bootheelcrossfit (all one word) to get a THIRTY PERCENT DISCOUNT on your first order For the same price as a BigMac Meal, you can get a professionally prepared, wholesome and delicious meal that is ready to warm up and eat. They've also got a "Build Your Own" plan at this link. This is a great option for someone who's on a super strict "cutting diet," or for those who are picky eaters. Don't forget to use our coupon code to get your savings. P.S. The “Lunch and Dinner Only” plan is the one that I like. I can still do my eggs/bacon in the mornings:-D
