June Update!

Summer is here, y'all! School is out, Paige's first week of KidsFit classes seem to be a huge success, and we're getting pretty damn close to completion on these showers:-) 

 

June Programming:

Major focus: Back Squat

Minor focus: Olympic Lifts (Snatch and Clean/Jerk)
 

I hope you all had fun throughout the month of May! We retested the 3rm Deadlift and saw a TON of PRs!

We did our initial test of the Snatch and Clean/Jerk,so I'm really looking forward to seeing how much you guys can improve when we retest those lifts again at the end of July. That gives us about 8 weeks to work towards an all-time PR:-)

Back Squat is the MAIN focus for the next 3 weeks, so make sure you're taking time for the lower-body mobility so you can recover from our heavy training sessions. I'll be recording some "homework videos" so you can give yourself a stretching session before bed throughout the week. This will REALLY benefit you if you'll choose to make the time for it. 

We will go for a Back Squat PR at the end of this month (June 20th).

After that, we'll get into a push/pull cycle with some extra Bench Press, Pullups, and what we'll call "functional bodybuilding."

 

The June Challenge

Finally, we're doing a "Mindfulness Challenge" on Facebook where we'll work on reducing tension and anxiety by offering some different ideas and challenges throughout the upcoming month.
